| On June 27th to 28th, 2009, our first Kodama Koi Academy’s 2 day seminar was held in Tampa, Florida. |
We studied about the improvements and the history of 5 different varieties of koi such as Kohaku, Taisho Sanshoku, Showa Sanshoku, Shiro Utsuri and Hi Utsuri. It took us 12 hours for all.
11 people participated and we were able to answer to all the questions each and every participants had because we had enough time. I think it turned out to be a very intensive study session.
*I have been invited to many koi club events to talk about koi. However, the time given is usually an hour. An hour is little too small to talk about koi. Therefore, I was always hoping to have a study session with enough time.
I’m very happy that I finally had my wish to have a fulfilling study session, the Kodama Koi Academy’s 2day session.
In the future, we are planning to have more seminars in areas like Atlanta and New York.

The certificates were given to the participants.
We studied about Kohaku, Taisho Sanshoku, Showa Sanshoku and Utsurimono. We spent 3 hours for each variety.
All the participants already have good knowledge of koi. But they found something new to learn and seemed very satisfied. |
